WRITINGS
My writing lives at the point where interior life meets public consequence. I write essays that trace how power, desire, race, love, grief, and ambition move through the body before they ever become ideas. I am drawn to moments people survive quietly and carry for years. The slow violence of expectation. The emotional cost of being read before being known. The tension between tenderness and control. I write in a voice that is intimate and exact, often beginning with personal experience and widening outward until it touches history, politics, and collective memory. My work resists spectacle. It stays with discomfort long enough for clarity to form. I am interested in how harm becomes normalized, how silence teaches behavior, and how people learn to endure things they were never meant to carry. The essays often move like confession and inquiry at once, lyrical without losing precision, emotional without losing discipline. I do not write to explain myself. I write to name what is usually left unnamed, especially when the cost of naming it is real. Writing, for me, is a way of tracking truth across time. What we lose. What we repeat. What we almost say. What we finally say when staying quiet no longer works.
