THE LISTENING ROOM

Meditations

The Listening Room is a place for thoughts to breathe. Here I share reflections, questions, and stories in the form they first arrive, as a voice moving through uncertainty and wonder. Some ideas need sound to live fully, pauses to think between the lines, a human rhythm instead of a screen. This space is an invitation to slow down and travel alongside a mind at work, not to be taught but to be accompanied, to let meaning unfold at its own pace.

Music

A few years ago, Maba Ba decided to make a practice of learning something completely new every year. Three years ago, he stumbled into music. What began as curiosity became another way to make sense of the world. Much like his essays, he uses songs to explore the things he doesn’t fully understand yet: love, desire, pain, memory, identity, and becoming. The songs are personal because the questions are personal. He is still learning. That is part of the point. Music is another place to begin again, follow a question, and see what he brings back.
